Workshop
Pedagogies of Interconnectedness - Reawakening Our Hands, Exploring the Stories of Everyday Objects
Everyday objects often tell world-spanning stories of human effort, ingenuity, and improvidence. This workshop will invite participants to interrogate these objects with our hands and minds in ways that generate fresh insights and surprising connections. With a mix of tools and curiosity, we’ll explore what comes up when we get behind the cover plate and take things apart.
Work with objects invites us to a mindset of the world as malleable, impermanent, and physically relational. This workshop intends to ask: how might such a mindset help students better understand and play with ideas?
